Speculation time!

Gavin does seem to be pretty preoccupied.  Does that mean he hasn't acknowledged Rain simply because something else (potentially more pressing?) is going on in his life?  And if so, what could that possibly be?  Who is he even talking to?  I mean, if you go back to the first few chapters, Gavin and Rain had a rocky start.  He's been a pretty loyal friend to her since then though.  You'd think he could spare ten seconds of his time encouraging a dear friend, right?

But then, what if he IS actively avoiding Rain?  Is that a possibility?  Is there any reason why he would do that?  Just what is going through that boy's head right now?

At least the other three are supportive though, right?  That counts for something.  It's three more supporters than Rain probably thought she'd have.
