Just got back from dinner with some of my extended family.  It was... awkward.  Of like two dozen people in the room, maybe four of them said "hi" to me and that was it.  Everyone else basically just ignored me.  My grandma in particular looked at me like she didn't know me.

I don't know.  I was prepared for questions or rude statements or whatever.  But to get essentially nothing?  That was just an uncomfortable couple of hours, and hurt a bit more than I anticipated.

Thankfully, my immediate family is cool.  They're kinda dingbats about the name and pronouns, but at least they're trying.  It means a lot to me (especially after tonight).  

Tomorrow, I'm heading back home.  I think this was overall a positive trip, but there were (as expected) there were definitely some ups and downs.
