Like the Chapter Reviews, you can share as much or as little as you like. You don't have to answer every question, but you also don't have to restrict yourself to what I ask. Every little bit helps. ^_^
So I'd like to ask if you can share your thoughts regarding:
- Rain's growing confidence, up to and including her handling of Debbie and Todd, or her decision to take Chanel to prom
- Ky accepting Drew's invitation to prom
- Emily's pregnancy, Debbie and Holly's reactions to it so far, and where Chase has been all this time
- Rudy and/or Ruby
- Todd, and why he's so interested in getting a prom date
- Heather's feelings (if any?) about Jessica
- Jessica's feelings (if any?) about Aiken
- Allison's feelings (if any?) about Rain
- Kellen's talks with Vincent
- Lesser seen characters like Blair, Aidyn, Madison, and Colette, and what kinds of people they are or how they fit into everything
- Optional, additional thoughts regarding other characters or arcs I may've neglected to mention?
It's been a rough week, but my day was made when a friend sent me a link this morning for an article about 10 must-read LGBTQIA+ webcomics.
Spoilers: Rain is on it, and ranked way higher than I'd have expected. What an honor! ^_^Also, I have internet again! And a friend donated an old desk they weren't using! I still have to draw Monday's page, but I at least have a space to do it now.
From the electric company AND our internet provider both taking their sweet time to give us what we need (thankfully, we got power for the AC before it got unbearably hot, but we're still waiting until at least tomorrow for the internet), to the fact that someone stole my desk right off our property in the brief moment I looked away, to the basically endless soreness and fatigue I've felt all week... I'm just spent.
I'll do my best to return to my usual posting schedule on Monday, but if I fail to do so... you know why. Of course, I'll be sure to keep you posted. ^_^
If there's a positive in all this, it's that our new apartment is beautiful. The neighborhood is friendly and clean. It's quiet. So beautifully, wonderfully, peacefully quiet. Once everything is completely squared away, I think this is going to be a huge improvement for us.
See, I'm visiting my folks for the next nine days. And I brought my computer and drawing tablet so I could continue to work while I'm here.
I did not pack the drawing pen. -_-
I'm going to see if I can arrange something to work around this, but there may be a sudden hiatus for this upcoming week or so. My deepest apologies if it comes to that, but I'm going to see what I can do.
Or you can find all four here!
You can also use the coupon code APRSHIP for free mail shipping or 50% ground shipping through tomorrow. Please check it out. If you can't get a copy for whatever reason, you can still help by sharing the link.
(And I'll probably have to announce it again tomorrow for everyone that doesn't believe me because of f***ing April Fools Day, but whatever. I'm just thrilled it's finally out.)
The topic has been recently relevant in the Rain so I've already kinda said a lot of this, but I just want to stress again to everyone: just do feels right for you. Visibility is very important in the grand scheme of things, but so is your comfort and your safety. So if you don't feel ready or you feel like you're not in a safe environment, don't force yourself to come out because you think you have to. You don't. Your responsibility is to your own well-being. That's not selfish; that's taking care of yourself.
I'm visible, yes. I also chose to be visible. I want to be visible. But I would never ever EVER force it on anyone who didn't want to live that way. Because I made my choice, and I want others to make theirs.
So, if you want to be visible, be visible. If you want to be stealth, be stealth. If you want to be kinda halfway open with select people, go for it. If you're planning to come out to someone or a couple someones today, I hope all goes well. And if you want to shout it today and go back into stealth tomorrow, more power to you. As long as you're not hurting anyone, you do whatever you need to for you. And whether your level of openness is based on personal safety, past traumas, general comfort, or just what feels right, your reasons ARE valid.
Please be happy, be safe, and be you. Have a lovely day, everyone. Today and every day. ^_^
Unfortunately, I'm now seeing a bunch of things I need to tackle before officially releasing it. So it'll be just a teensy bit longer, but it's really coming.
In the meantime, Lulu is having a sale today for $5 off of $25 worth of print books with the coupon code MARSAVE5. If you need your fix, and haven't got the other books yet, this might be a good time for it. You can find the first three (and within another week or two, the fourth one) right here - www.lulu.com/spotlight/LittleL…
Finally, as for when posting will resume, I'm looking at next Wednesday or Friday. Absolutely no later. This hiatus has already run quite a bit longer than I wanted it too, but there are a few more things I want to take care of before getting back into it (mostly revolving around the book).
Thank you for your continued patience! ^_^
Rules: Must use a Pokemon that matches the type ONCE (for example, you can't use Charizard as both your favorite Fire Type and Flying Type) and give a brief explanation as to why. No Megas. No Legendaries/Ultra Beasts. Blank copy in the comments. I'm supposed to tag five people to do this too, but I'm really uncomfortable about tagging people, so if you read this and want to do it, just pretend I tagged you. Thanks for playing along.
