Rain Delay 9

Introducing “Rain Delay”: goofy little gag comics to keep you entertained while I work on the legit stuff. ^_^

Party's Over
Fun fact: This particular Rain Delay was almost a normal page. It was cut when I realized I didn't want to drag out the chapter any longer than I absolutely had to. Not to mention, I really wanted to close the chapter on the shock value of the twist, rather than carrying on with goofy humor.

Mind you, I would go so far as to say that if there was ever a Rain Delay that should probably considered canon, it's this one. There's kind of an alarming amount of character development and loose end tie-ups in there to just be a silly side gag.

Ignorance
As with most of the "Ryan Delays", this dips into a more subtle social commentary sort of joke than a laugh-out-loud gag.

Gay guy kisses a girl?
"Le gasp! How can this be!? What can it mean!? Black is white, up is down; everything I know is wrong! Aaaaahh!"

Gay guy kisses a straight guy?
"Eh. What else is new? Sucks to be that guy. You know, he kissed me once too. True story."

This can, incidentally, be turned vice versa. Fact is, whether people accept homosexuality or not, I think they just don't like when their "categories" end up being thrown into question. This doesn't speak for everyone, of course; it's just another observation of mine to what I see in life.

Just some food for thought, I guess. ^_^
