And all of the friends are gathered together again. Albeit, within a mess of convoluted emotions and revelations.
Seeing them all together like this – despite the circumstances – makes me realize I just really love this crew. One of these days, I think I should make a really “plot-light” chapter (with no major drama or big revelations) of just these six hanging out all together. Especially since there’s not really any more secrets between them now.
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

"I swear I didn't know about this one!"
I'm still saying Ky's genderfluid.
At least there's nothing else that can go out of control from here on out.
...Oh crud, i said it again, didn't i?
Maybe it's because she's done a lot of reading, and is at least theoretically well-versed in LGBT topics. I know that for me, before I was out, books were my haven.
Ah, and before I forget, the last panel is one of my favourites to date. The aftermath of the footstomp is so fabulously in-character, and Ky(lie)'s line is just awesome. xD
I just LOVE how open and comfortable Ky is with the fact that her gender is fluid. And the developing friendship between Ky and Gavin is both hillarious and wonderful.
1) Channel's now officially part of the crew if she can get over the strangeness of this situation.
2) I can't help but feel sorry for Gavin...but he so had it coming.
3) I would actually love to see a plot-lite chapter, just to have a nice break from all the intense drama recently.
Or i could be completely wrong and the story takes another random plottwist that leaves yet another awkward situation (because lets face it, rain is like a magnet for awkwardness)
Seriously, though, with Gavin and Ky(lie) reentering the fray, we have six of the seven members of "The Rain Gang" together. With any luck, Aunt Fara will join in on the madness sooner than later. Maria was never let in on Ky(lie)'s gender situation, and Chanel hasn't even met Ky(lie). Argh, everything is happening at once! Then again, I should have come to expect no less madness from Rain.
While Maria must certainly be surprised about Ky(lie), it's really Chanel that's been caught the most off-guard by all of this, as she still has Rain and Rudy - er, "Ryan" and "Ruby" - to deal with. Where will Chanel go with this? Will she question Rain and Rudy, whom she had no idea were crossdressing? Will she ask fellow club newcomer Ky(lie) about just who she (um, he?) is? Will she not even bother, and just wait to let everything sort itself out later? Or, in typical Rain fashion, will something else come up that hardly gives anyone a chance to breathe, much less figure out this zany situation?
Humor-wise, I love Gavin's "janitor's closet" comment... and his subsequent toe-flattening by Ky(lie)'s foot. I get the feeling that Ky(lie) is prepared to do this anytime Gavin mentions "janitor" and/or "closet" in conversation (while what s/he did was necessary, it doesn't keep it from being hella awkward). The final line ("The name's Ky. I'm a boy sometimes.") just takes the cake, though. At once, it goes against conventional understandings of gender, and yet it describes Ky(lie)'s situation perfectly. We've seen male Ky(lie), and we've seen female Ky(lie), two different expressions of the same person. Neither one a fake (in contrast to Rain's "Ryan" identity and Rudy's "Ruby" identity), yet neither one complete.
Final note: the fact that Ky(lie), while in female form, refers to herself as "Ky" means that she probably prefers to be called as such, in either mode of presentation. Darn... I preferred it with the extra syllable. Time to give up the "lie", I suppose (there's a pun in there, I'm just too tired to make it right now).
I was like "Go ahead! Keep stomping. Can't feel a thing..."
Then she punched me in the arm...
God, I hope someone gets this joke...
