SHANGRI-LA: CV - About Items

In the original demos, many people pointed out frustration over healing items being too expensive. At the time, my goal was to prevent players from breaking the game by buying 99 Healing Herbs quickly and easily and never really needing to worry about anything. I mean, it's no fun without SOME challenge, right?

But I do want to address this immediate frustration. As cheap as I think it is to be able to afford 99 Potions with little to no effort, I will concede that it's also pretty aggravating to have to fight numerous battles just to be able to afford ONE. And considering I want to keep this game pretty well "grind-free", making things

Well, this is interesting…

Theoretically, we can toss Rain’s kind words up to her being kind of intimidated by Emily (and based on past experiences with her, can you blame Rain?). But Emily? As kind of a continuation of the last update’s question, what’s up with her?

She clearly had an agenda in the beginning of the page, but does she really believe Rain’s answer? Did she get the answer she wanted? Is she looking for any other answers with the rest of her dialogue, or do we think she’s being sincere?

I don't blame Emily for these questions after all she is jealous of Rain after all. So i think that she does have a bit of an agenda but nothing really bad and it looks like Emily might be on the verge of tears.

It's difficult to know what Emily's true feelings are. Maybe she's just trying to get a picture of who Rain is since she strikes me as someone who wants to place herself at the centre of social circles by knowing everyone around her and Rain has been an unknown element until now (since she's kept her distance even before the Halloween party), but time will tell if my theory is right or complete codswallop.

"Hellraiser" sounds like it would have been a pretty cool misnomer for Rain in the original fantasy setting, though I'm not sure what she would have done to earn it.

I really hope this becomes a temporary truce on her part. I know that girl isn't the kind of girl to quickly cease her more troublesome ways, but this calm before the storm feeling can leave people kinda tense...

I think she's being sincere. She's upset right now cause her life is starting to go off track with her breaking up with Chase and her party being a disaster, so she probably just needs somebody to talk to.

That may be the case, but why would she choose Rain of all people to unburden herself to? It seems to me that Debbie would be a much better option - not only are they close friends, but they're both single and can relate to being foreveralone and whatnot.

I'm thinking Emily might be trying to bait Rain, or trip her up - something to confirm her theory that Rain's a liar. (Not that Rain is, but you get my point.)
