Actually, both pages could probably stand alone, but I didnít feel like dragging out the scene too long. Hence, a twofer. ^_^

And yet, thereís almost so much going on that I donít know what to say. Your thoughts?

So glad i'm christian and not catholic, and don't look at me weird for reading this, tis enjoyable and I have a friend who is in a similar position to Rain... Almost exactly similar. Besides I was always taught that Jesus said to love your neighbor.

I went to a Catholic school as well, though it was much more laid back.  We didn't have to wear uniforms, and it was run by a Principal, who was not a church official (though the school's president was a Brother).  Of course, it was a very liberal school as well.  The school never tried to impose religious beliefs, and the Day of Silence was regularly observed.  The Brothers also were not creationists, and my Scripture teacher actually outright agreed that most of "Genesis" was a myth.

If only Rain lived in Berkeley.

Is it really like this at a catholic school, or is Quentin just played up a bit for the sake of being a bigger villain?

I can't vouch for every Catholic school, but mine was like this. Father Quenton is largely based off a real person.

Oh my gosh! I was away for no more than five days, probably less, and you've done loads of pages!!! Plus, all of them are completely and utterly astounding (Omigosh, long words! @_@)

I think you're missing a question mark in the very first panel. Also, "Can I have you reprimand them?" is a rather passive sentence in that it sounds rather feminine. For someone with as much power as Father Quenton, it seems a bit out of place. It would make sense if he were being polite in that way that bosses do, but then that seems out of character. Just thought I'd point that out.

Consider "Can I have..." versus "I want..." The first is a little dainty, the second is bold and right to the point; not "I'd like if you'd do this for me." but "You're going to do this for me because I want you to." It's a really typically masculine way to talk. >.>

Study session! Seriously people consider holding hands lewd, what do them consider normal nothing. But Rain;s happy i think that's what is important.

This was a great set-up, we've now got a challenge to beat, a puesdo-villian, and motivation from one of our leads to see it suceed, now I'm really looing forward to seeing how this all turns out.

I don't know if this is just because, as a Jew, I have never seen the inside of a catholic school, but the fifth panel, to me, is all of the reasons why priests should never run schools. 'Abstinence' teaching (as in teaching that 'bad' things should be avoided entirely) NEVER work. For one thing, teenagers instinctively rebel, so the best way to make a teenager do something is to forbid them from doing it.

Love your comic, by the way, I check for new pages almost every day. :#1:

Is it me, or is Fara's neck on the second page, first panel a bit wonky?

It's not just you. It absolutely looks wonky. I meant to fix that weeks ago, and apparently forgot about it until you just brought it up now... ^^;

Hang on.... Father Quenton believes that ANY form of expressing one's romantic feelings is "lewd conduct", even though what Rain and Rudy did is also done by many to show platonic love? And he STILL believes it to be "lewd conduct" even though it's a boy and a girl doing it, and there's the whole "Adam and Eve, blessed unions" thing that defines Catholicism's stance on romance and such?

.....He's a strange and potentially dangerous one, that Father Quenton.

Xallamax is right. Holding hands is just a slippery slope to getting her pregnant before they're married; in fact, holding hands may be ENOUGH to impregnate her. Dang teenagers and their dang hormones!

Seriously. People still think like this. It's kinda scary... ^^;

It's backward, but not totally unsurprising. In the Victorian era, holding hands was, indeed, considered lewd when done in public.

I think even married couples only did it in private with close friends.
