(I should probably just stop saying it's early. Posting at this time is kinda becoming the norm. ^^;)

Gavin talks about his feelings; expressing everything that’s going on without flat out saying it. Probably for the best though, considering his mom seems to remember the “Old Rain” (ie, Ryan). He’s pretty good at skirting around the truth actually…

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

First off, I love Ms. Kurz expression in panel three, she just looks so "yuck" at her son's overanalysis.

But yeah, this is another reason the last page was important, it kind of helped Ms Kurz and Gavin to lighten up a bit to even talk about his feelings for Rain. Though I do admit that going with "Bryer" is probably the best desicion at the moment. Until the random chance that Ms Kurz runs into Fara and rediscovers the name Flaharty. But that is life and its really random.

The good thing about this panel is the fact that it is a good argument from not only the "straight" point of view, but also the point of view of the friend. The fact that its not against the view of gender as a whole, but how you cope if its someone closer to you. With the ever growing media people easily dismiss the issue until it ends up appearing close to home afterall. But it can be hard to get used to the new person that has come into your life, and sometimes makes everyone wonder if its even worth it. But you also showed us the best part of the "argument" through Ms. Kurz. that we aren't set in stone and that we are always finding out new things about ourselves and the people around us. And that despite the discomfort, eventual it will pass like a Heavy Rain (amazed the theme of Rain appears a lot in my comments). But that is my feelings of the page.

Really enjoyed that the dialogue didn't bore us nor was too wordy. It kept itself moving and informative throughout. And I'm still amazed that you haven't surpassed 10 panels in any page. you really have become better at this.

I thought it seemed kind of weird how much it seemed like Gavin's mum pushed him to have sex (or something really close) with a girl she thought he just picked up, but I also wanted to comment that I really like the dialogue here. It seems really, really natural. I didn't even notice it until I was finished reading, and then it was kind of a realisation: that seemed like a real conversation! :)

Also, lulz at the people calling Gavin gay or bi-. That's kind of missing the entire point of the comic. >.>

Alternate title: The Usual Prodding Mother...

I REALLY like this pairing, though, it's the usual but OH-SO-CUTE pairing of old best friends becoming new lovers. and they're just so cute and awkward together! ^^

I expect situational comedy to emerge from this page for no less than 3 chapters, and no more than one hundred and twenty nine.
