I’m wondering how many people read the title of my pages before looking at them, and think “what the HELL is she talking about? Cardboard!?” until actually reading it. ^_^
This is an unusually text-light page, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to take note of. That said, I strongly suspect many people will notice none of these things in favor of remaining focused on the bottom row of panels.
Let’s see how well my prediction goes.
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

These pages have TITLES!?!?
"Black Wings: Atari?"
"Black Wings: Cincinatti?"
I've been wondering if I should change the name of "Porter's" (perhaps some play on Barnes & Noble, since they practically have a monopoly on the bookselling biz now anyway), or if I should just leave it the way it is as a homage.
The only time that a title appears on my cell is when I open the page. So by the time I saw the page and notice rain gawking at the cardboard display I automaticallly thought up what to say and when I saw the title it was as obvious as....well, the cardboard cut out.
I also relate to this because of my love for manga like Princess Princess and so on, only to notice my love for it can be one-sided. But at the same time it does renew my love for (fill in manga title here). Taking time to tell the story and explain some of my feelings of the story really does help me realize how deep it is. Even so far as people saying 'the way you described it really made it seem so different than how my friends describe it'. It really makes me smile madly.
I know that Maria has just stepped into into something she can't easily step out of. But that will be for the future. The romantic hint at the bottom is simply there for curiousity sake. Though I will say Maria will ebd up growing more onto Rain.
i feel like we've seen the carboard cutout's outfit before...
EEEEEEEEEE Maria blush! good job on the hands!
Top notch stuff
is it so bad I can SO identify with Rain in this one? I don't know how many people I've put through that kinda thing! XD
y'know...except for the secret crush deal.. >.>;

It's a little cheesy, but I kinda like it.
Gotta love those moments when you are with the one you care for, being told about stuff they care about, but you don't really notice cause your in "lala land" and they don't notice that cause they are in fangasm mode.
Actually, most of my attention went to the middle row. Reminded me of something. Maria's blush is cute.
The middle row, huh? Interesting. I'm curious now. ^_^
The design for Kaminari herself was really an attempt to make my style look less like my style. Though I referenced nothing when designing it, the end result reminds me of an amalgamation of random "Tales of..." characters. Albeit, someone else had brought to my attention that she also resembles a classic FF White Mage.
And I don't believe I've been following you that long, so I never saw that piece before.
