Fifty pages! Wow.

Anyway, introducing a little bit of Gavinís home life, including his all too doting mother, Simone. I enjoyed doing this page a lot. Despite the ever present feeling of doom that Gavin gives off throughout Chapter 2, he didnít actually play a big part, and it was pretty much entirely as a bad guy. As such, it was nice being able to portray him as being a little bit more human again.

In case anyone hadnít noticed yet, besides the more obvious LGBT stuff, ďfamilyĒ is kind of a big theme in this story. Perhaps thatís a given though?

Congradulations on the 5oth page, in someway it must be like a right of passage for you in manga and storytelling in general. I'm just happy you got this far, and hope to see you farther ^-^.

Ayway, I can tell that Gavin's mom is a real make up kind of lady, and definitely the type to be proper and admired for being sophisticated. But she also seems really warm and comforting in her ownway. To be honest Gavin really is lucky to have such a concerned mom. I also agree with you that family is important anyway. Even if you aren't GLBT, a family is the best foundation anyone can have for emotioal growth and personal strength. And to be honest, to be invited into a family is an honor and really does surpass age, race, creed, and even blood.

But you are right that Gavin does need to be brought back down to a more realistic character again. He is after all an important ally in someway to Rain, no matter how he's percieved in public. Proof of this is his final appearance in Ch. 2, his hesitancy proves there is more going on then simple non-acceptance. And though I don't demand to know anything from you, the subtle hints in casts behavior make it worth really seating at the edge of the seat. Either ay, hope he doesn't crash and burn on what I like to call "RYAN CONFRONTATION TAKE 3" (god, sounds like some teen action movie.)

Well its all ways interesting to get some insight into a characters home life. It kind of funny with the thermometer in his mouth it kind of look like a cigarette with makes him look like a punk. And it doesn't seem to be a big prank like last year.

Happy Golden Page Anniversary!

But anyway... I'm glad to see Gavin getting off antagonist lane and onto protagonist street. You've managed to sway his public image in just two pages... Interesting way to go about character development...
