I have mixed feelings about the third row of panels. It’s cute and funny watching her face change as each new thought enters her mind, but I do worry she may have gotten over being sad a little too fast. On the other hand, I hesitate to drag out sadness longer than necessary (at least at this early stage of the game), or I could run the risk of making Rain annoying (which I obviously don’t want).
Rudy is of course chatty as always, and it seems like he wants to tell us a story. This should be interesting. ^_^

I realize this page was written a while ago, but I found your comic through Top Web Comics, and I'm reading my way to the present.
Regarding the change of facial expressions, Rain may have been smiling by the fourth panel, but her chin is still lowered. Her body language suggests that, although she is grinning awkwardly at her own question, she's still not fully recovered from the sadness.
