Poor, little Ryan.
Let it be said, that Iíve read MANY webcomics in my time. And I have at least a dozen times seen a point in which the author attempts to put some serious moments into their otherwise ďjoke of the dayĒ comic for the purpose of directing the story. There are always a few understanding people who want to see where the author will take this direction (like me). But Iíve noticed some people actually get bent out of shape over it too ďbecause itís not what theyíre reading the comic forĒ.
So, let me get this out of the way right now: Rain
IS a comedy, but itís also a drama. Just as in life, sometimes there wonít always be a punchline. (And then, sometimes the joke is in the middle of the page rather than the bottom. I like to spice it up, you see.)
Oh, and I'm not sure if this is obvious or not, so I'd like to add that the woman is "Ryan's" mother. The other kids are older siblings.
