RAIN p.1 - Prologue 1 by JocelynSamara RAIN p.1 - Prologue 1 by JocelynSamara

Nearly a year and a half after first announcing that I wanted to post Rain in webcomic form, I at long last give you… the first page! Da-da-daaaaa! ^_^

For those of you only discovering this right now, Rain is a slice-of-life/comedy/drama that follows the life of a teenage male-to-female transsexual named Rain (coincidentally!) attempting to go through her senior year in high school identified only as a woman. It's intended to be a comedy, but it will also touch on some heavy subjects including acceptance from family and piers, blind hatred, and many of the other difficulties faced by members of the GLBT community. I write a lot of stories to put it bluntly, but Rain in particular holds a special place in my heart, perhaps due to its semi-autobiographical nature.

So, this is the first of hopefully very many. I hope it’ll be a long run that everyone will appreciate. ^_^

(It should be noted that the majority of the comic is in color. I plan to use black and white for flashbacks though.)

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

I read allot of this comic  before, but toilet heads grieved me so much that I closed my account and lost the page I was reading.  As for me? I draw comics but I don't like detailed drawing, I will use your drawing style on digital art.

Now after stumbling upon this somehow (details are something I like to leave to myself) I found this to be a quite interesting and funny story. Now personally I'm an asexual male (in both ways mentally and physically) and I never really understood how hard a life for the people like Rain is as I am lucky and not only have very accepting parents and family but living in an accepting school as well and this really made me realize how stubborn some people are on these topics. And reading this definitely allows me to not only understand how hard these lives can be for some people but reading it also educates me about the topic of "sexuality differences" as I'm calling it ( Like I said I'm not very educated and don't know if there's a proper name for it) Also I do agree with this story, some people are born as the gender they truly aren't.

I understand if you'd rather not go into it, but if you don't mind, could you explain to me how one can be physically asexual? I mean, if it goes beyond genital loss, of course.

...Awkward question to ask  Sweating a little...

I think what I meant was that I'm mentally asexual, cause like you said I don't think genitals work that way and frankly, I don't exactly think losing my junk is gonna really prove anything. Also, Praise the Sun!!!

Yus, praise it, praise it hard.

This is an awesome comic. :)
It's interesting to see how most of the characters act in this comic towards the main character.
Is the entire comic fiction or do you base some of it off of your own life if you don't mind me asking?

But why doesn't the previous page work? It's like you put it there to make a joke. :(

Woah, the description makes this sound so much like Venus Envy. Not saying it's a good or bad thing, just seems a really very specific niche (slice-of-life comic about a male to female transsexual trying to go through high school identified just as a woman, LBTG-influence).
