Contestant 8 – Aubrey Bonfield

Aubrey was originally created as the character I would play in my friend’s campaign of “Scion” (it’s a tabletop RPG) two years ago. But the game never got off the ground, despite the effort I put into the character. But late last year, I came up with another story which I’d never announced to anyone until now, which featured her as the main character with the same backstory… minus the fantasy-based aspects. Instead, “A Winner is You” is modeled off web comics like Penny Arcade featuring a handful of characters ranting about video games… except with an actual ongoing plot here.

To make a long story short, Aubrey herself is a college drop-out who finds herself acquainted with a group of three other drop-outs who decide they’re going to make a video game together. And having already published a best-selling novel before graduating high school, she finds herself with the task of writing the game’s plot.

You’d never know by looking at her, but Aubrey has a fear of people and doesn’t make friends easily. It’s painfully ironic on the grounds that she has such a knockout figure that makes her seem approachable. Either way, being a simple gamer and writer (rather than say an angel or a wizard) makes her a more down-to-earth girl than most of the others in the OC Swimsuit Project. Perhaps such connotations will work in her favor.

And perhaps she's just hot, which also make work in her favor.
